These wonderful beaches have fine white sand. They are characterized by their beauty, gentle waves, and family atmosphere. There is parking (paid) and spotless sanitary facilities with showers. El Canelo and El Canelillo are located between the Peñablanca Rock (to the south) and the Isla de los Pajaros Niños (to the north).

To get to the Peñablanca Rock Nature Sanctuary from El Canelo there is a beautiful path that borders the beach with a unique view. The Peñablanca rock is approximately 30 meters high and has a great diversity of faunal species. You can see species such as the Black Cormorant, Red-winged Cormorant, Pelican, Piquero and Dominican Gull, Guanay, Cahuil Gull, Curlew and Black Pilpilen. In 1982 it was declared a National Monument. It is the ideal place to enjoy a dream sunset as the sun seems hide and form part of the sea. The road from Santiago along Route 68 has the peculiarity that it crosses one of the most important wine-growing areas in Chile; “Casa Blanca”
