Day 1
Welcome to Cusco and City
Welcome to Cusco International Airport, upon arrival a representative from our Travel team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel located in the historic center of the city. In the afternoon, venture to the Plaza de Armas, the Temple of the Sun, also known as “Qoricancha”, an architectural gem that fuses different architectural influences. Make a stop in Sacsayhuamán, where you will be amazed by the constructions of enormous limestone blocks, followed by Pukapukara, known as the Inca guard post. We will explore Tambomachay, also called the Inca Baths, immersing ourselves in the history and grandeur of these ancient structures. At the end of our tour we will return to the hotel.
Day 2
Maras and Moray Salt Mines
We will start our day with a unique experience in Maras. This site, an ancient salt mine with over 3,000 shafts, is still an active salt mining site. Discover the products made from this valuable mineral and immerse yourself in its history and traditions. Our next stop will take us to Moray, an ancient Inca laboratory famous for its impressive circular platforms. This emblematic place, where they experimented with the domestication of products from various regions of Peru, will transport you to the agricultural practices of the Inca era. To conclude we will begin our return to the city of Cusco.
Day 3
Sacred Valley
Today we will enter the “Sacred Valley” of the Incas. We begin with a brief stop at the Taray viewpoint, from where we will contemplate an impressive panoramic view that encompasses all the majesty of the Valley. Our first destination will be Pisac, an ancient agricultural center loaded with history and energy. We explore its vibrant artisan market, immersing ourselves in the authenticity and local cultural wealth. We will enjoy a delicious lunch, prepared with fresh and local ingredients that enhance the flavors of the region. We will go to Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca town and a strategic Inca point. We will conclude in Chinchero, where we will witness the fascinating textile process that gives life to each garment made by skilled local residents, immersing ourselves in the tradition and artisanal skills of the region.
Day 4
Machu Picchu – Cusco
We begin the most anticipated adventure by picking you up at your hotel to go to the Ollantaytambo train station. There, we will board the train that will take us on a fascinating 1h 30min trip to the charming town of Aguas Calientes along the banks of the Vilcanota River. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will board the bus that will take us to the magical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Accompanied by our expert guide, we will explore this magical place for 2 hours, discovering its secrets and fascinating history. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace and absorb the positive energy that emanates from this unique site. At the conclusion of our Machu Picchu experience, we will descend to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included), later we will board the train back to the city of Cusco.
Day 5
Rainbow Mountain
We will start the day by embarking on an exciting journey to Cusipata. Here, we will recharge our energy with a delicious breakfast and will prepare you for the incredible experience that awaits us. We will continue our journey for another hour until we reach the point beginning of our walk to Rainbow Mountain. Upon your arrival contemplate its tones, a visual spectacle that defies imagination! Capture photographs that reflect the magic of this unique place. After exploring this landscape, we will descend again to the point of departure. We will return to Cusipata, where lunch awaits us revitalizing. With a heart full of adventure and a mind full of unforgettable memories, we will begin our trip back to Cusco.
Day 6
Farewell
On your last day in Cusco, you will have free time to buy souvenirs and explore on your own. At the agreed time, we will transfer you to the airport and we will say goodbye to our work team before boarding the return flight to Lima.
